RUN GEN Z ENDORSES JOE MITCHELL FOR CONGRESS IN IA-2
Run Gen Z Founder and Former State Representative heads into June 2 Primary
Arlington, VA — Run Gen Z today endorsed Joe Mitchell for Iowa’s 2nd Congressional District ahead of the June 2 Republican primary. Mitchell founded Run Gen Z in 2021 and is no longer involved in the organization’s operations.
Mitchell served two terms in the Iowa House, where he was Vice Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee and Assistant Majority Leader under Speaker Pat Grassley. He went on to serve in the Trump administration as a regional director at HUD and Chief of Staff at the Federal Housing Finance Agency. He lives in Clear Lake, where he runs a real estate development company focused on workforce housing in rural Iowa.
